Red Bar fever is sweeping watch nation. We’ve talked about NYC and Toronto already, but they’re happening in pretty much all of the major US cities, with Boston being one of the latest. Tuesday was our second event in as many months, and both were major successes. In fact, the first time around, I was so excited with the atmosphere and being surrounded by so many great people and watches, I barely took any pictures. This time, I fought through the tough lighting as best as I could and managed to grab a few shots, which you’ll find below.
Chris Hislop (IG handles: @chrshslp and @shrevecrumplow), Zack Kurland (IG handle: @oneifbyland2), and myself have been overwhelmed with the immediate support from the Boston watch community, and we’re hoping it only grows from here. For this event, one of our members was kind enough to help us out with a private space in one of Boston’s oldest restaurants, which gave us plenty of elbow room to mingle, Instagram (come on, why else are we doing this?), and drool over each others’ collections. We also had a special guest, Mike Kobold of Kobold Watches. It was a pleasure to have him at the event, where he told some great stories, and brought a bevy of production and prototype timepieces. Okay, you didn’t come here to read about the event, so here are some pictures:
